Church of Christ - body of christ and bride of christ.

 What is a church? 

What is a real church? Which is the right church? What is the need for attending church?

Some peoples attending church achieve their needs. For someone it is a religious worship place.

At the pandemic times everything closed including churches.  Peoples started to worship God at their homes.  But it makes some changes in peoples attitude about churches.

Peoples started to think that there is no problem if they doesn't went to church.

What is bible truly  tells about church. How to be a church of Christ. Now we can see different type of churches, different named churches, new generation churches, old generation churches. What is real church of Christ.

Church doesn't mean temple.

Church doesn't mean temple. When we were gentiles we worshiped  many other gods,  they build a temples and places their gods on there. But our God never dwell in a man maid temple. Because he is The Almighty is omniscient and omnipresent.

In the new testament we are the temple of God because the spirit of God dwells in us ( 1 Corinthians 3 : 16 ).

What is a church?

Jesus said : For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them ( mathew 18 : 20 ). This is the church of christ.

Church is not the building, it is the fellowship of the people they gathered in the name of Jesus.  The second thing is the presence of God in the midst of them.

So that is the reason why we attending church. The fellowship and presence of God. We can check more about church from bible....

Two aspects.

Bible defines churches in two aspects.

1. Bride of christ

2. Body of christ.

Bride of christ

" 2 Corinthians 11 : 2 - for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."

Bride of christ refers about the responsibilities and aim of church. What is the aim of church? What is it's responsibilities?

In mathew chapter 25 there is a parable about 10 virgins. Parable tells that : 10 virgins waited for meet the bridegroom. There we can see five of them lost because they are not prepared for meet bridegroom. This is happening in the church. Many peoples are attending church but how many of them are prepared? The aim of church is to wait for meet their bridegroom  that Jesus. 'Jesus will come back soon' this is the promise we have. The responsibility of church is prepare themselves and helps others to ready for him. 

Body of christ

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

 Romans : 12 : 5

It is a major concept. Body of christ refers to the work of church. When people gathered that is church. In the church everyone have an ministry. Everyone have different ministry.

Unity and love is important to church. If there is no love and unity its not a church of christ. We are different orgon but one body ( 1 Corinthians 12 : 20 ). We know if one orgon is weak it affect the whole body. So every one should do their ministry.

"With out holy spirit the churches ( body of christ) have no life."

"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. ( hebrew 10 : 25)

Most of peoples are falling because of there is no fellowship with believers.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
